Old or New, I love to explore buildings. When I was in Europe, I pressed my hand against a four-foot-thick wall of a 14th-century church and wondered what life was like for the craftsmen who worked on it. He may not have seen the beginning or the end, but no matter, I am sure he took pride in his work.
